Mural at Kilińskiego Street

The mural on Kilińskiego Street is the first work in the public realm of Aleksandra Godlewska, a designer who had so far operated in the digital sphere.. This time, the project has become an element of the urban space, but at the same time refers to the digital world through the use of the pixel theme. The project, despite being situated in an urban context, references digital aesthetic by the usage of pixel pattern.

The checkerboard pattern references a previous graphic on the building's facade, which once featured a similar motif. It became a starting point for the design phase.

The mural's composition is based on the architectural grid and the geometry of the building, while the uneven distribution of simple shapes gives off an impression of gradation.
